The Live Workshop May Be Over, But That Means You Can Get Everything On-Demand And Write Your Copy At Your Own Pace!
Learn To Write Website Copy That Converts

Whether you're creating copy for your first website, upleveling existing website copy to align with your big vision, or rewriting your website copy for a rebrand or redesign, you're in the right place.

If you are building a brand or business of any kind, you need a website. And if you need a website, you need website copy — the words and text that fill each page and persuade a visitor to hire you, buy from you, learn from you, or subscribe to your email list.

Yes, you could hire a copywriter to write your website copy but maybe…

You tried hiring a copywriter and it didn’t work out so well. The draft copy you received sounded nothing like you!
You reached out to a few copywriters but their intake forms were intense and you didn’t have answers to all of their questions.
You don’t have unlimited funds and copywriters are EXPENSIVE! You’d rather spend your hard-earned money on design and marketing.

So you decided to do it yourself. You are the expert on your business after all. And, you’re one smart cookie. So planning, outlining, and writing your own website copy couldn’t be that hard, right?

Wrong. OMG. So unbelievably wrong.

I-started-this-six-months-ago-and-I’m-still-not-done wrong…
I get it. Writing website copy seems simple, and dare I say easy… until you actually sit down and start doing it!

It’s freaking hard to write about yourself and your own business!

Since you’re here, I’m guessing you can relate and one of these examples describes you perfectly:

I’m overwhelmed and struggling to get my website copy done. It’s holding me back and negatively affecting my business.
I’ve started writing my website copy and even have a draft done but it doesn’t feel quite right and I don’t know why.
I avoid working on my website copy because it feels really complicated and I’m not sure what to say or where to start.
I want to write my own website copy and I’m confident I could do a great job — but I need some help and guidance.
My web designer said I had to provide the final website copy before they start my website and WTF? How do I do that?!

I feel your pain and so do A LOT of other business owners just like you. I write copy for a living and writing copy for my own website is one million times harder than writing copy for my clients.

But I learned a secret that changed everything.

Professional copywriters never start with a blank screen and zero direction and magically produce brilliant, conversion-focused copy.

Experienced copywriters know that the secret to writing head-turning copy that converts is working with proven frameworks, templates, and prompts — and over the years, I’ve collected, tweaked, created, and refined my own collection of copywriting tools, frameworks, and resources that make writing website copy easier and faster.

That’s exactly what I’m sharing at Content Camp: Website Copy!

Welcome freelancers, solopreneurs, small business owners, marketing managers, content creators, bloggers, and side hustlers!

I am Jennifer Bourn — creative, doer, designer, content creator, and mentor to freelancers with big dreams and bold goals. I am thrilled you’re here, checking out the upcoming Content Camp workshops.

I hope you’ll join us for one, two, or all three immersive, interactive workshop events…

    Content Camp: Brand Messaging
    Content Camp: Website Copy
    Content Camp: Content Marketing

…so you can expand your reach, gain visibility, land more (and better) clients and customers, build your email list, increase revenue, and attract exciting opportunities.

Melanie Adcock

"I knew I needed to work on my website copy but kept putting it off. 'Client work first' is what I kept telling myself. I was a little hesitant to sign up for CCWC because of the time commitment but it was totally worth it.

Setting aside this time was so valuable. CCWC trains you on how to think about your website copy and the live copy reviews were so helpful. I was able to crank out my website copy during the solo work time — and that has inspired me to do even more. What an awesome experience!"

Melanie Adcock
Mischelle ONeal

"I was doing a website refresh already so CCWC was a no-brainer. Plus, I knew if Jennifer Bourn was running it, it would be top-notch. She packs amazing value into everything and is a wealth of knowledge and this workshop was phenomenal! What I love about the workbook and materials is that I can use them again and again.

I got all of the copy done for my entire website and live critiques and feedback to make it even better. Now, all I have to do is to refine it and design the final pages."

Mischelle ONeal
Eileen Schaubert

"My website copy was at least 2 years out of date and it didn't reflect my current business. Now, my drafts are in good shape and I'm confident I'll be updating my website this month! Each day, CCWC took things step-by-step.

I learned quite a bit from other participants' questions and feedback and used the copy review sessions to try out copy ideas I have been debating since the start of my business. The positive response and suggestions for fleshing out those ideas were very helpful."

Eileen Schaubert
Kiki Robinson

"I was stuck. Really stuck. I felt overwhelmed and did everything but write my website copy. Then I discovered Content Camp: Website Copy. I just knew I found what I needed, only had a few minutes to make a decision (the workshop had already started), and went with it — and I don't regret it a bit.

I finally understand that a big part of why I felt stuck was not having frameworks in place for my offers. I am very thankful for the in-depth information about each website page included in the workbook and the live copy reviews were bomb. I now feel empowered and have valuable resources to leverage as I write my copy."

Make The Website Copywriting Process Easier By Preparing For Success

Five mini prep exercises help you get ready to participate fully in Content Camp: Website Copy and set you up for success without overwhelm.

To get your website copy done in three days, we’ll hit the ground running on the first day of Content Camp: Website Copy and dive right into writing copy for your services and offer pages.

It’s serious work because the success of your business is serious stuff.

I won’t lie, tell you it’s going to be easy, and sugarcoat things to trick you into signing up. If writing your website copy was easy, you’d already have it done.

I will help you prepare for Content Camp so you’re ready to go on day one, with five mini pre-event prep exercises — each with a step-by-step workbook.

Five Mini Prep Exercises To Set You Up For Success:

    Understand Your Audience:
You can’t write copy that captures attention and helps people identify as a perfect fit if you don’t know who you’re speaking to or what they care about. This exercise shows you how to gather audience insights that help you write copy that converts.
    Assess Your Testimonials:
This exercise shows you how to get testimonials that sell your offers, what to do if you don’t have clients or customers yet, and how to use customer feedback to create sales statements ideal clients and customers can relate to.
    Review Your Brand Assets:
You likely already have marketing materials, profiles, and copy written for your brand. This exercise walks you through the process of assessing the copy you already have so you don’t have to start from scratch if you don’t need to.
    Define Your Website Strategy:
Every website has three core sections, each with a different purpose. This exercise will walk you through the process of not only defining your website goals and desired outcomes but also planning your website strategy and the pages you need.
Get In The Right Frame Of Mind:
Mindset is everything when it comes to writing effective website copy. This brainstorming exercise will help you rev up your creativity and start thinking about the pages you’ll write at Content Camp and the details you want to communicate.

James Seligman

"I've always struggled with writing my own website copy and getting the right message across. The CCWC workbook, examples, and frameworks are fantastic. They provide a clear step-by-step path and I'm now writing, updating, and redoing pages, and even creating a new portfolio and case study template."

James Seligman
Michele Bergh

"I have wanted to redo my website for a long time. I recently did a pretty big update but struggled with the copy and wording and whether I'd covered the 'right' things. Now my copy feels good and I feel ready to make the final refinements and be done. Moving forward, I'll be very comfortable sharing my site."

Michele Bergh
Leanne Mitton

"CCWC was amazing. It gave me the framework and motivation to focus on my business and website copy, and it was helpful hearing other people's questions. I've gained more clarity on my business model and the services I want to offer and I have fantastic new pages for my website that are almost ready to go."

Leanne Mitton
Stacy Clements

"I spend a lot of time helping clients improve their websites but when it came to my own, I procrastinated and never made time for it. This workshop gives you a workbook that lays everything out step-by-step step. I'm not finished but I did get more done in this three-day workshop than I have in the past six months. And I'm not just talking about my website copy. I also gained more clarity on my offers.

You might be hesitant to let Jennifer review your copy in front of others, but I assure you, the copy reviews are one of the most valuable parts of the workshop! It's not copy shaming, it's gaining new perspectives from people who want you to succeed — well worth the investment!"

Stacy Clements
Rachel Ober

"I didn't have a website for my new business because I wasn't sure what the 'right' thing to say was. I suffered from analysis paralysis and researched everything but it always seemed like I was treading water.

The CCWC pre-work and workbook are full of information I will be referencing for YEARS to come. Nothing compares to what Content Camp provides — and this is coming from someone who also puts together technical workshops! Getting immediate feedback on your work is so valuable. You don't feel like you're going at it alone and have a team of compassionate, expert teachers there to lead the way. I have committed to being a Jennifer Bourn stan!"

Rachel Ober
Patrick Boehner

"I'd been putting off building my own website for two years and I build websites for a living! It felt overwhelming and I made every excuse to avoid getting it done. CCWC was exactly what I needed. This is one of the most comprehensive, actionable workshops I have ever taken. While the workbooks are worth the investment alone, you also get training, Q&A, dedicated work time, and live copy reviews.

If you sign up for this workshop, you will make progress towards your goals and get unstuck — and that's hard to say about a lot of online programs. After CCWC, I have a sitemap, content structure, outlines, and rough copy for everything I need to finally finish my website."

Content Camp: Website Copy FAQs

If you have a question about Content Camp, I have an answer for you!

What are the Content Camp workshop dates again?

Content Camp: Brand Messaging and Content Camp: Website Copy are over so all workshop sessions are now available on-demand immediately. Content Camp: Content Marketing is September 27-29, 2022.

I want the bundle but is there a payment plan?

YES! If you’re all-in and want to attend all three Content Camp workshops but also want to spread out your investment, you can take advantage of the three-payment plan option and split it into three easy payments of $200.

Are the workshops recorded? How long will I have access?

Yes, all live event workshops and review sessions are recorded. Registration includes lifetime access to all workshop materials — the prep exercises, workshop training videos, audio downloads, workbooks, worksheets, and recordings.

The interactive part of the workshops — Q&A and copy review sessions — remain available through the end of the year. I don’t maintain access to those forever because they’re specific to attendees, based on the action they’re taking at the moment, and by then, obsolete.

How is the workbook provided to attendees?

The workbook is provided in PDF format. Attendees can visit the Content Camp: Website Copy Workshop Headquarters to download the workbook file. For those who like to work digitally, all worksheets are also provided in Google Docs or Google Sheets formats.

What do I need to participate in Content Camp?

Each workshop will guide you through carefully-planned exercises step-by-step and the workbook contains everything you need. Plan on downloading and printing the Content Camp: Website Copy workbook in advance. Most attendees have it printed/bound somewhere like The UPS Store or FedEx Office, others put it in a binder.

You can stream/access the workshops from any device like your smartphone or a tablet, but there are some that will be easier if you are at a computer with access to files. You also may want your favorite pencils/pens, highlighters, a yummy beverage and snacks, and maybe even some sticky notes!

Can bring my virtual assistant or team to Content Camp?

YES! It’s a brilliant plan to have anyone working on your brand go through Content Camp: Website Copy with you so you can collaborate on the exercises and ensure everyone is on the same page. Each person who participates, however, must have their own ticket and unique login. Reach out for group pricing.

What happens if I bought a ticket but can’t go to Content Camp?

All Content Camp: Website Copy ticket sales are final and non-refundable.

Have a question that hasn’t been answered on this page?

Ask me anything about Content Camp: Website Copy or the Content Camp Workshop Bundle! I’m happy to answer questions and help you figure out if one or all of the workshops can help you achieve your goals.

How do the workshops work when attendees are remote and not in the same room?

All workshop sessions are split into two sections:

A 15-20ish minute pre-recorded workshop training with instructions
A hands-on group working session and live Q&A

You can choose to watch the training and instruction session and then work on your own, or you can hop into a shared Zoom Room to work alongside other attendees and ask questions.

My advice is to be careful of spending too much time worried about what other people are doing and asking. Make Content Camp about advancing YOUR goals and YOUR business.

Everything is recorded and available to revisit in the future. This means you have permission to be selfish. You can mute the workshop portion, get your work done, and jump in only when you have a question, then come back and listen to questions asked by others later on.

How you do Content Camp is up to you.
Sherri Goodman

"CCWC was AWESOME! I am so happy to have my home, about, and offer pages done. I really liked the copywriting approach and loved the workbook with visual wireframe layouts and instructions for what to put where.

The solo work gave me time to dig in, absorb the frameworks, and write — and the copy reviews were stellar! Getting feedback from 2-3 people with different perspectives helped immensely. It felt like we were collaborating and discussing the nuances and how things could go. That was the best part: getting actual suggestions to make my copy better. It really cemented the whole process in my mind."

Sherri Goodman
Ann Marie Gill

"I had been "saying" that was going to rewrite my website copy for months, yet I never made time to do it. It seemed too cumbersome and overwhelming, but Jennifer always over-delivers, and her workshops are extremely valuable so I signed up. I loved the mix of presentation, discussion, solo work, and live copy reviews. The reviews were extremely helpful and I learned a great deal from the advice provided to others too.

Content Camp: Website Copy was excellent. I got the hard pages done - the About, Services, and Home — and thanks to the clear instructions and feedback I received, I feel really proud of the way they turned out."

Ann Marie Gill
Heather Erickson

"I am a professional content writer who has ignored my personal website for a couple of years. I signed up to sharpen my sales page writing skills and it was totally worth it! It was such a great experience.

CCWC helped me immediately put everything learned to good use. I got 1:1 help with my questions and concerns and was able to write all new copy for my website. I even made some changes to my business model, thanks to the feedback I got from the live reviews and Q&A sessions. I have another website that needs updating and thanks to the CCWC lessons and materials, I now know how to do that."
